Chad Townsend Career and Achievements

Townsend debuted for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in round 13 of the 2011 NRL season. In his first encounter against the Brisbane Broncos, he converted two tries scored by teammates Jon Mannah and Colin Best in the 40th and 80th minutes, respectively.

On September 22, 2013, Townsend was named halfback to the 2013 New South Wales Cup Team of the Year. Townsend played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the NSW Cup Grand Final on October 6, 2013, when they defeated the Windsor Wolves 38-6.

In 2019, Townsend was named Cronulla's Player of the Year. In 2020, Townsend was named to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks squad of the decade. Townsend was sent off in round 17 of the 2020 NRL season after hitting Newcastle player Kalyn Ponga with a shoulder charge.
