Oscar Piastri Career
Oscar Piastri started his career in 2016 with Dragon F4 in selected rounds of the Formula 4 UAE Championship, collecting two podiums and finishing sixth overall. After that, he was nominated to the TRS Arden Junior Team's line-up for the British F4 championship in 2017. He finished second to Jamie Caroline after claiming six wins and six pole positions.
Piastri made his championship debut in 2018, reuniting with Arden. He finished the season eighth in the championship after claiming three podiums, the best of which was second in the second race at Hockenheim. Piastri revealed in December 2018 that he would be joining reigning team champions R-ace GP for the 2019 season.
He won his debut race in the series at Silverstone and then won again the next day at the same track. He became the first driver in 2019 to win three races after winning in Spa-Francorchamps in July, and he was crowned champion after winning and finishing fourth at the final round at Yas Marina.
Piastri confirmed in December 2020 that he would continue with Prema into Formula 2, replacing the outgoing Mick Schumacher and teaming up with Ferrari Driver Academy member Robert Shwartzman for the 2021 season. Piastri finished second in consecutive races at the Monaco round, moving him into second place in the championship standings behind Zhou.

In January 2020, Piastri joined the Renault Sport Academy. Piastri then qualified 7th for the main race after having his lap deleted for track limits.
In the main race, Piastri finished 2nd after benefitting from a late collision between his teammate Norris and Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen to take his fourth career podium, just missing out on the win by 1.9 seconds. At the British Grand Prix, Piastri qualified 5th, but would get into second place by lap 20.
